Join The Actor's Apothecary in welcoming filmmaker Andre Hepburn to New Orleans. 

Wednesday Oct 28th producer/director Andre Hepburn will be screening his indie horror, Bad Voodoo. 

We will follow the screening with a networking event and open conversation on what we can do as locals to bring film work back to our city. 

Andre is not only interested in meeting potential crew members, actors and fellow filmmakers for his upcoming projects, but also in finding a way to build a bridge between our industry and the new orleans community as a whole. 

This event is free and open to the public but we strongly suggest sending us an RSVP to secure a seat at the screening.

About the actor/writer/director:

The Nashville Scene named 23/1 “Best Blend of Theater and Activism” in 2019 for its examination of solitary confinement and mass incarceration.

A playwright, actor, producer, and director, Whitsell is also the founder of Destiny Theatre Experience and a longtime community organizer, poet, and teaching artist who facilitates playwriting and spoken word workshops. His work centers on the belief that the arts can transform communities, raise awareness, and spark both social and personal change. 

In addition to his theatre work, Whitsell volunteers in prisons through the School for Alternative Learning and Transformation (SALT), supporting incarcerated individuals through arts and education.

GOOD GRIEF is an original one woman contemporary clown show that explores what happens when we stop trying to "get over" grief and instead learn to carry it with us.

With humor, vulnerability, and absurdity, Stephanie Bell's clown invites audiences into a world where heartbreak and laughter coexist. Through physical comedy, audience interaction, and moments of surprising tenderness, the show asks what it means to love someone after they're gone—and how joy can still find us in the middle of loss.

Rather than treating grief as something to solve, GOOD GRIEF embraces it as a deeply human experience. The result is a performance that is playful, honest, and unexpectedly healing, reminding us that our capacity to laugh is not separate from our capacity to grieve—it is born from the very same place.

Whether you've lost a loved one, a relationship, a dream, or simply the version of yourself you thought you'd become, GOOD GRIEF offers audiences permission to feel it all.
